This week a teacher in a small community down on the Alaska Peninsula was killed by a wolf while she was out jogging....

This is very unusual for this to happen as wolves very seldom prey on humans.

As spring arrives in Alaska be aware of your surrounding...

At Sea World Orlando in 1999 he killed a man that entered the park after hours and entered his pool..

Tilikum is one of the largest of the 41 captive killer whales in the world

American Billionaire Larry Ellison wins America's Cup...

The boat was built in little ole Anacortes, Washington...an effort reported to have cost $200 million..!

She is a 114 footer with a 223 ft mast..called a "sailing wing", which can power the boat at 3-times the wind speed...not shown in the picture below, they did their testing with conventional sails, not tipping their hand as to what they were actually bringing to the race... :)

Americas Cup set to begin...Feb 8th

Looks like the race is on. The boat built in Anacortes has been in Valencia, Spain for the past month or so, getting ready for the America's Cup, set to start on Feb. 8. BMW-Oracle Racing Team just released this new video of the boat, now renamed the USA, in action in Valencia.The boat sailing for the Golden Gate Yacht Club of San Francisco will meet the Alinghi, sailing for a Swiss club. UPDATE THIS BITCH GOT 22 YEARS....This old broad LORI PHILLIPS of Anchorage, has five DUI's on her record.

Driving drunk , suspended license, she killed another driver last Thursday November 5th 2009 & seriously injured the passenger in a head-on collision on the Seward Highway

Now charged with MURDER 2 & felony assault....she was actually given bail...$100k

So...now she is out on the streets of Anchorage again already
